HW Fish Arena (McLennan) will need public input.

The town of McLennan is setting things up for public input on the HW Fish Arena this spring.

Mayor Jason Doris says council is looking for ideas, tenants, and possibly forming a society to help operate the facility as an arena, or as a Rec. Center.

Doris says council is also looking at options of interest with fundraising, and cost-sharing.

Interest groups, like minor hockey and figure skating, have declined in the area, with the last major tenant being the Lakeland Eagles of the North Peace Hockey League.

The Eagles franchise was suspended by the NPHL in 2014.
