Friday February 18, 2022 is the last day to give your input on a “hot topic” survey in the town of Fairview.
Naming of the body of water on the east side of Highway 732 between the Fairview Golf Course and entrance to Cummings Lake Recreation Area is the subject of the survey put on by the town.
The three naming suggestions are as follows:
- Goose Lagoon
- Bird’s Nest View
- Neepee Wetland
Social media posts by the Town of Fairview with the survey sparked conversation in the comment sections with many users suggesting “Ruby’s Pond” to become an additional option.
The Town of Fairview Facebook page responded to comments with: “The survey results and all social media comments will be submitted to the Recreation Advisory Committee for final review.”
Results from the survey and social media comments will be assessed by the Recreation Advisory Committee to make a recommendation to Fairview Town Council for naming the body of water.
