Mario Jumps Onto The Big Screen

That’s Right! we now have the first trailer for super Mario bros. movie. Oh boy…or should I say Mamma Mia this looks interesting!

There has been a lot of speculation leading up to this moment about whether or not this thing will actually be good or not. This is because they have tried a Mario movie before, although the last time it was live-action and filmed in the 90s. This time around the visuals are handled by Illumination Studios who have done Despicable Me and other animated movies. Of course after seeing those films I knew that it was gonna look pretty good. I was right. The characters look slightly different than they do in the game but for an adaptation onto the big screen that was to be expected. The visuals look amazing and I can’t wait to see more of this movie and world.

In the trailer we don’t get to see much of the plot but we see some familiar faces like Bowser and Koopas as they are on a mission to steal a star. There is some comedy to set the tone in this trailer which did give me a chuckle so that is a good sign. We also see a little bit of Mario Toad and Luigi near the end.

The movie has a star-studded cast lineup with Chris Pratt playing Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as peach, Kegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogan as Donkey Kong, and Jack Black as Bowser, the original voice of Mario, Charles Martinet, will also be in the movie but it hasn’t been announced where yet.

After watching this trailer I am excited to go see this thing in theatres. As it turns out I will be able to watch it sooner than I thought because it will be released on April 7th, 2023. so give this thing a watch and get excited for next year with me! YAHOO!
