
McLennan RCMP seek public assistance after armed break and enter to a residence – Update 2
McLennan, Alta. – McLennan RCMP have confirmed that the last outstanding person for this file, Jennifer Emard, has turned herself in to the Provincial Courthouse. Jennifer was released with an upcoming court date of Mar. 24, 2025.

Grande Prairie RCMP make arrests after locating stolen vehicle from McLennan
Grande Prairie, Alta. – On Feb. 21, 2025, Grande Prairie RCMP located several individuals involved in the break and enter in Girouxville.
Grande Prairie Crime Reduction Unit (GP CRU), was able to locate the outstanding stolen vehicle. The driver attempted to flee, however RCMP were able to safely stop the vehicle, resulting in the arrest of 3 individuals.
Scott Darryl Parker (31), a resident of Peace River, Alta., was charged with break and enter to a residence, robbery, forcible confinement x2, assault with a weapon, assault, theft of motor vehicle x2, as well as warrants for failure to comply with his release order x 3. Grande Prairie RCMP had additional charges of possession of property obtained by crime, obstructing a police officer, unauthorized possession of prohibited weapon, possession of weapon in a motor vehicle, flight from police officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, assault to police officer x3, possession of weapons contrary to authorization x3, failure to comply with release order condition x 6.
Parker was brought before a Justice of the Peace, where he was remanded with a court date of Mar. 3, 2025 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River.
Several individuals were also located with the vehicle.
Danielle Diane Buggins (33), a resident of Grande Prairie, was charged with break and enter to a residence, robbery, forcible confinement x2, assault with a weapon, assault, theft of motor vehicle x2. Grande Prairie RCMP had additional charges of possession of property obtained by crime x2, resist police officer, unauthorized possession of weapon, possession of weapon in motor vehicle, failure to comply with release order condition.
Buggins was brought before a Justice of the Peace, where she was remanded with a court date of Feb. 24, 2025 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River.
Brett Ryland Thibault (38), a resident of Peace River, was charged with possession of property obtained by crime, resist police officer, unauthorized possession of weapon, possession of weapon in motor vehicle, and possession of weapons contrary to order x2.
Thibault was brought before a Justice of the Peace, where he was remanded with a court date of Feb. 26, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Grande Prairie.
The 2 stolen vehicles are now both recovered.
The investigation is still ongoing and McLennan RCMP are seeking public assistance with information or the location of a female who is also associated to the original break and enter.
Jennifer Helen Emard (49), a resident of the MD of Smoky River, is wanted for break and enter to a residence, assault with a weapon, assault, forcible confinement x2, robbery with a firearm and theft of motor vehicle x2.
Emard is described as:
- 49-years-old
- Approximately 5 foot 4 inches
- Approximately 100 pounds
- blonde, shoulder length hair
- Brown eyes
- Medium complexion
McLennan RCMP appreciates any public assistance thus far and wants to urge community members to contact them, should they have any information they believe could be helpful.

McLennan RCMP seek public assistance after armed break and enter to a residence
Girouxville, Alta. – On Feb. 12, 2025, at approximately 2:15 A.M., McLennan RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter to a residence, where the suspects were armed.
RCMP arrived to the residence in the area of 52 Ave in Girouxville, and located 2 adult victims with non-life-threatening injuries who were assessed by Alberta Health Services Emergency Medical Services; no other persons were inside the home at the time.
Through the course of investigation, it was learned that 4 masked suspects, one female and three males, entered the home armed with a firearm and other various weapons and while injuring the home occupants, made their way with several items inside the home, and 2 of the homeowners vehicles.
McLennan RCMP requested the assistance of Peace Regional RCMP, and was assisted by the RCMP’s Real Time Operation Centre.
One RCMP member was able to locate the stolen vehicles, along with a third vehicle, and made attempts to complete a traffic stop on the vehicles which then split up. RCMP initiated a pursuit and shortly after, Peace Regional RCMP members were able to successfully deploy a Tire Deflation Device. RCMP members were able to arrest the driver, identified as Brandon Kyle Neil (41), a resident of the MD of Smoky River who was discovered to be one of the males that had broken into the home.
Neil, was charged with:
- Beak and Enter to a residence
- Being unlawfully in a dwelling house
- Theft under $5000
- Flight from Police
- Possession of methamphetamine
- Possession of break-in instruments
- Forcible confinement x2
- Assault with a weapon causing bodily harm, and assault
Neil was brought before a Justice of the Peace, where he was remanded with a court date of xxx, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River.
The two stolen vehicles are described as follows:
- Vehicle one: 2008 Chevorlet Silverado, black, with an Alberta license plate of BXM5804
- Vehicle two: 2005 Chevorlet Silverado, black, with an Alberta license plate of CSS0682
This investigation is still ongoing and RCMP ask that any residences or drivers in the area to contact RCMP if they may have witnessed the incident, and to check their cameras to see if they can provide any information to assist RCMP with identifying the remaining one female and two males, or any other important information regarding the incident.
