They are seeing record claims for insurance because of drought.
The Agruiculture Financial Services Corporation is dealing with insurance issues for farmers and ranchers because of the lack of rain and snow in 2023.
Programs like Moisture Deficiency Insurance saw claims upwards of $326 Million dollars, made by producers.
That marks the largest payout in the history of the program.
Officials are also saying that almost three times the support was paid out, as opposed to livestock producers during the 2021 drought.
