Another Globe trekking Indiana Jones’s adventure!
The movie opens with us joining in near the end of another great adventure. Where we are following a younger Indiana Jones who is trying to save some relics. Things don’t quite go according to plan though. He only ends up salvaging half of the Archimedes dial.
Fast forward to the modern day and we are now following Indie as he is set to retire. He then comes in contact with his goddaughter who is trying to solve the mystery of this dial that he originally found long ago. although she ends up stealing it from him and setting him off on yet another great adventure to try and get it back.
There are a lot of great action scenes in the movie there is one moment that can be seen in the trailer where Indie has to chase the villains through a parade with confetti everywhere. There are of course abandoned crypts and plane scenes as well. this movie has a great variety of fun moments.
Indiana Jones movies are more known for their spectacular adventures and interesting stories rather than their characters. This movie follows that trend. Although we learn of some new characters for this franchise I felt that they weren’t very fleshed out. We were introduced to a character that I thought was going to be very important only for them to be killed right away. There was also one character who hated indiana jones way more than he should which made me hate him in turn.
There were a couple of weird moments where I feel like they could have taken out the bad guy way earlier than they did. There were also some moments where the bad guy could have got Indie way sooner than they did. I get it though, they do have to make it an entertaining movie so some suspicion of disbelief is warranted.
