An o.k. recreation of something already amazing
First off this movie already loses some points by being something we’ve seen before. This is the live-action adaptation of Disney’s Snow White. It’s tough to say a lot because by those first couple of sentences alone I feel like you know what you’re getting into.
It’s the Snow White story but this time, it was told in live action I felt like it visually looked fine. The CG dwarves looked a little uncanny at first and they do focus a lot on them and their faces. So, it was a little strange but I felt like I got used to it and wasn’t the worst thing.
The classic songs redone in this movie were good. Can’t go wrong with singing Hi HO!
I have heard some criticism about the costume design and artistic direction but as someone who isn’t too into Snow White, I thought it was fine. I don’t however like the minimum effort standard it’s been setting. Although judging by how this movie did at the box office hopefully whoever is in charge of making these things is getting the message
