We don’t have much info on it yet but it has been confirmed that Disney is working on a Holes Reboot. I’m intrigued. I remember reading the book and watching the movie in school. In the story Stanley Yelnats gets caught for a crime he didn’t commit instead of getting sent to prison he gets sent to a camp full of boys that are digging holes for an unknown reason. The mystery gets unraveled throughout the book and I remember liking the plot twists it had.
In this new version Disney plans to Gender-swap the characters now making Stanley a girl and potentially going to a girl’s camp? I’m curious to see how that goes and if they will keep the name Stanley because that was a big part of the original story.
Disney hasn’t had the best track record with reboots and putting a modern twist on things but i am curious to see where this goes.
