News Release from the Town of High Level

The Town of High Level would like to welcome Frank Besinger, Interim CAO, to the
community.
Besinger is here in a temporary role, bridging a gap between former Interim CAO Ron Leaf and
Council’s ongoing recruiting efforts to find a permanent CAO.
“High Level is a great community with a wealth of opportunity going for it,” said Besinger. “I’ve
only been here a short time and have found the Town to be very welcoming. I’m looking forward
to working with Administration and Council during my time here in High Level.”
“Frank brings a wealth of experience to the role, which is exactly what we need during this time
of transition,” said Mayor Crystal McAteer. “I want to welcome him to the community on behalf
of myself and the rest of Council.”
Besinger was previously the Interim CAO at the Municipal District of Bighorn and brings many
years of experience north with him to High Level. Besinger has previously worked in
Municipalities of Peace River, Sturgeon County, Saddle Hills County, Crowsnest Pass, Town of
Valleyview, and Yellowhead County.
Prior to his career in Municipal Government, Besinger enjoyed a 27-year career with the
Province of British Columbia, where he was the manager responsible for the Province
Maintenance Contract Area Transportation network, and delivery of Operational and Capital
improvement programs.
Welcome to High Level, Interim CAO Besinger!
