Many people were hoping to preorder a Nintendo switch 2, myself included, but that is no longer a possibility. Hours before people were allowed to start placing orders many businesses were informing customers that they have been delayed and in an official statement from Nintendo they said. “Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 in Canada will not start on April 9, 2025 in order to align with the timing of pre-orders to be determined in the U.S.”
The States pre-orders had been delayed days before leaving many confused on why the Canadian announcement took so long. Some people took time off work and rearranged schedules so being told it was all for nothing had fans notably upset. Despite changes in the plan Nintendo did confirm that The launch date of June 5, 2025 is unchanged.
