Teams in the NWJHL are getting ready for the start of the season.
The North Peace Navigators held their training camp this past weekend at the Baytex Energy Centre while the Fairview Flyers and La Crete Lumber Barons will have their camps next week.
The regular season will start on September 20.
The schedule format has seen some changes for this season. The past two seasons have had a balanced schedule with teams playing each other six times for a total of 42 games. This year each team will play 40 games and the teams have been split into two divisions.
The East-West division will have the North Peace Navigators, Fairview Flyers, Dawson Creek Kodiaks and Fort St. John Huskies.
The North-South division has the La Crete Lumber Barons, Sexsmith Vipers, Grande Prairie Wheat Kings and Beaverlodge Blades.
Division opponents play each other eight times, non-division opponents will play each other four times.
