Peace Energy Cooperative has a webinar coming up tomorrow night for people interested in using solar power for their home or business.
Executive Director Don Pettit says even if you don’t know anything about solar energy, this webinar will be a “crash course” for those who are interested.
“We like to tell people as much as we can about what’s involved and how it all works and what’s the technology like, what are the guarantees, what are the costs, etc. This webinar is about that. It’s for people interested in looking at that maybe more closely or learning a bit about solar energy and how it can benefit them by bringing their electricity bills down.”
Pettit says they’ll also have an update on their efforts to get a solar farm built near Peace River.
“We were in the Peace River area last week and visited some property and property owners and I think we’re very close to landing a deal on a piece of property that we’re going to build the solar farm. It will be financed by our membership, it’s something we’ll own and receive benefit from by investing in it.”
