Farmers, Ranchers, scientists and commodity groups are all coming together to create the Peace Region’s Living Lab.
The Lab, which covers Northwestern Alberta and Northwestern BC, to enhance agro-ecosystems in the area.
A core group of 60 producers will host Labs to observe Carbon Sequestration, Greenhouse Gas emissions, Environmental co-benefits, and socio-economic factor to these practices.
The Peace Region Living Lab is operating over the next five years, and covers the areas of Northeastern BC, and Northwestern Alberta.
The federal Government has put forward nearly $6 million dollars to fund this project.
