
RCMP officers in Red Earth Creek have arrested a 48 year old man from Peace River for drug trafficking and weapons offences.
Two weeks ago, police responded to the report of a male on the Loon River First Nations who had previously been prohibited from being in the community.
Officers located him, and the suspect provided a false identity and an interaction occurred where the male resisted arrest and was taken into custody.
Police conducted a search where they found brass knuckles, what is believed to be methamphetamine, drug trafficking paraphernalia and an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency.
Bernard Jason Debrule was charged with:
· Assaulting a police officer
· Resisting Arrest
· Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
· Carrying a concealed weapon
· Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking
· Possession of stolen property under $5000
Dubrule was released following an Interim Judicial Hearing and is scheduled to appear in Red Earth Creek Provincial Court today.
