Today Peace River’s Rotary Club held a meeting at which the President of the Chamber of Commerce spoke. Mike Matthews was there to discuss ways the Chamber and Rotary Club could work together on future project the Club could get involved with. Matthews says that he spoke with some members of the Rotary and heard that there were some issues with different level of government they were having with their Rotary House Project and the Chamber could have helped them through those. Also Matthews says that down the road if a Multiplex comes to the town, they would help the Rotary Club with the ways they can help in fundraising. Another topic that was asked about was the Chambers drive to get an Economic Development Officer for the town. Matthews says it was not the main topic of discussion, but questions were asked.
