“For the second time this month, the north end of the Peace Valley Snow Riders Osmond/Getaway Cabins Leddy Lake Trail has been damaged by wheeled vehicles following substantial work to clear and groom the trail.
Access by these units was from the Driftwood Lake in the Deadwood area.
Similar damage has been experienced in the area of the staging area on the Baytex Wesley Creek Trail.
The purpose of raising this is to make those responsible aware that only tracked off highway vehicles (snowmobiles, side by sides, etc.) are allowed on the Club’s trails during the operating season of October 15th to April 30th each winter season.
The Club’s trails fall under the Alberta Trail Act for which the Alberta Snowmobile Association has been appointed the trail manager for all snowmobile trails in the province.
As the Peace Valley Snow Riders in a member club of the Alberta Snowmobile Association, the Club’s trails have been or are in the process of being registered as provincial trails.
Access enforcement can take place in regards to those damaging the trails or accessing the trails without being in possession of an annual or daily Trail Pass.
Trail Passes are available on line on the Alberta Snowmobile Association website.
Your cooperation in not damaging the trails and supporting the local Club by purchasing a Trail Pass is appreciated.”
