On March 11, 2021 at around 9:39 p.m. the Peace Regional RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter in the Three Creeks area of Northern Sunrise County. A suspicious vehicle and activity were observed by members of the public and RCMP went to the scene.

When police arrived they found evidence of forcible entry and vandalism to the home as well as fresh footprints from the house towards a bush-line. With the assistance of Police Dog Services, the RCMP searched the trail for several hours and ultimately found two individuals associated with the crime, and they were arrested.

In result of the investigation, 36 year old Louis Harry Whitehead of Peace River was apprehended on multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest and has further been charged as follows:

  • Break and enter and commit mischief
  • Failing to comply with conditions of a release order

Additionally charged is 43 year old Tom Jeremiah Cardinal, as follows:

  • Break & enter and commit mischief

Both men were granted conditional release on promises to pay, following a judicial interim release (bail) hearing. The accused are next scheduled to appear in Peace River Provincial Court on March 29, 2021, in relation to the break and enter.
