Peace River Town Council has started business in 2025…
At a recent meeting, first reading was passed to sell the town-owned portion of the old Lion’s Campground on the West side.
The big condition of the sale to continue the land to be used as a campground.
The town has also given control of Recycling duties to Circular Materials, a company that will be run by the Province.
Peace River Mayor Elaine Manzer says it could save the town about $150,000 per year, starting next year.
Council has also extended the agreement with the County of Northern Lights for Fire services by one year.
