Peace Regional RCMP lay charges in break and enter
Peace River, Alta. – On Dec. 23, 2024, Peace Regional RCMP responded to an alarm call for a break and enter to a business in the area of 100 Street, in Peace River.
While responding, RCMP located Tanner Hatter (22), a resident of Peace River, nearby with items taken from the business.
Upon review of the footage, Hatter was seen taking items from the store after unlocking a door earlier in the day, and then he returned later in the night through that same unlocked door to take more items from the business and businesses surrounding.
Hatter was arrested for break and enter to a business, theft over $5000, failure to comply with a release order and failure to comply with probation order. Hatter was held for a Judicial Interim Hearing where he was remanded with an upcoming court date of Feb. 3, 2025.
Peace Regional RCMP urges all businesses to remain vigilant in light of situations such as this and to double check all doors, alarms and camera systems to ensure they are functioning and your business is secure.
