Peace Regional RCMP investigate motor vehicle collision
Peace River, Alta. – On Feb. 8, 2025, Peace Regional RCMP responded to a report of a collision on Highway 688, between Township roads 845 and 844.
Peace Regional RCMP members attended and worked in partnership with Northern Sunrise County Fire Department, Alberta Health Services Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and were assisted by the RCMP Collision Reconstruction Analyst.
Investigation thusfar, shows a stationary semi truck, was struck by a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by EMS to the Peace River Hospital after being extracted from the vehicle; the semi driver is uninjured.
RCMP would like to extend gratitude to all community members who stepped up to assist, and were patient with the extended road delays.
