Provincial Grant Money going out to Food Banks in Peace Region

Peace and Mackenzie area Food Banks are receiving grant money from the Provincial Government

Half of the $20 million dollars announced in November, have gone out.

  • Fairview Food Bank Association – $15,000
  • High Level Native Friendship Centre Food Bank – $8,000
  • High Prairie & District Food Bank Society – $8,000
  • Manning and Area Food Bank Society – $8,000
  • Peace River Family Services – $15,000

Meanwhile, Food Security Grants have gone out to various organizations.

  • E.E. Oliver Family School Liaison Program (PRSD #10) – $19,200
  • Interfaith Valleyview Community Food Bank Society – $50,000
  • North Peace Youth Support Association (Fairview) – $9,843

As well, a Donation Matching Grant has been applied to, on top of the funding grants.

  • Fairview Food Bank Association – $12,331
  • High Level Native Friendship Centre Food Bank – $18,752
  • High Prairie & District Food Bank Society – $22,897
  • Interfaith Valleyview Community Food Bank Society – $29,884
