
Four people are facing multiple charges after being pulled over by the RCMP. According to the Red Earth Creek detachment, officers pulled over a vehicle for speeding on Highway 88 at around 9:30 p.m. on December 3. Police searched the vehicle and seized the following items: bear spray, a large knife, scale, prohibited firearms, knives, brass knuckles, ammunition, suspected cocaine, suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and other weapons.
The four occupants were jointly charged with:
- Careless use of a firearm (x3)
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (x6)
- Carrying a concealed weapon (x3)
- Possession of a firearm without holding a license (x3)
- Unauthorized possession in motor vehicle (x4)
- Possession of a loaded prohibited firearm
- Possession of a prohibited weapon with readily accessible ammunition (x2)
- Possession of a firearm with the serial number removed (x3)
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
James Beaver, 22, of Slave Lake was also charged with:
- Fail to comply with conditions of release (x12)
- Possession of stolen property
- Obstructing a peace officer
30-year-old Raymond Foss of Loon River First Nation was also charged with:
- Fail to comply with conditions of release (x21)
- Breach of Recognizance
Tricia Beaver, 44, of Slave Lake, was also charged with possession of a controlled substance. Caitlynn Noskey, 25, of Loon River First Nation was also charged with failing to comply with conditions of release (x12).
