In one of the latest incidents, words attacking the area’s LGBT community have been spray-painted on the wall of the old SAAN store building.
Communications Coordinator Autumn Hulme says clean-up is happening right now.
“Our public works guys are down there,” Hulme told the Trending 55 Newsroom. “They are painting over the graffiti, and it’ll likely take a good chunk of the day.”
Hulme says that Bylaw Enforcement has turned the investigation over to Peace Regional RCMP.
“The town has spoken to the RCMP,” she adds. “They are doing their best.”
Hulme encourages anyone with any information to forward it to Peace Regional RCMP at 780-624-6677, or to Crime Stoppers, at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
The Trending 55 Newsroom has reached out to the local RCMP detachment. We are still awaiting a response at this time.
