On June 4, 2025, Whitecourt RCMP responded to reports of an erratic driver in Whitecourt.
With assistance from Alberta RCMP Traffic and the General Investigation Section, officers located the vehicle and arrested two individuals.
A search revealed a loaded firearm inside the vehicle.
Joshua Carter, 32, of Whitecourt, faces multiple charges, including failure to comply with court orders, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and firearm-related offences.
Taylor Clarke, 33, of Fox Creek, is charged with careless use of a firearm and possession of unstamped tobacco.
Carter was remanded into custody, while Clarke was released on conditions. Both are scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Whitecourt on June 24, 2025.
