Reba Joins NBC’s “The Voice”

With Blake Shelton deciding to leave the show after 23 season, they have found and announced his replacement. They have replaced one country singer with another, the legendary Reba McEntire. Blake who is the only coach to be with the show for all 23 seasons, announced his departure prior to the 23rd season who had Reba as a “Mega-mentor” for the season.

The country music legend and actor will certainly bring comedy to the show, but I am not sure what if any rivalries will come from the fun loving legend. Blake was known for creating a rivalry with other coaches whether it be Adam Lavine, Nick Jonas or Kelly Clarkson.

Reba appeared this week to make the announcement official sitting in Blake’s chair and refusing to leave once Shelton came to claim his chair as he “had 1 week left.” Reba would just respond with “No.”

Reba won’t be the only change to the line up as Niall Horan will be the only one from this season continuing on as a coach with Kelly Clarkson, Chance The Rapper leaving marking the return of longtime judge John Legend and Gwen Stefani. Legend and Stefani were last coaches in season 22.

Fans of the show have embraced having Reba being Blake’s replacement on the show.

It will be interesting to see how this shakes out as the show enters it’s 24th season for The Peacock without it’s biggest and notable judge, but Reba I feel will fill in the missing comedy that Shelton brought with his southern charisma.
