On Friday, June 20, a Peace River School Division (PRSD) bus was involved in a serious collision near Grimshaw.

A passenger vehicle struck the bus, causing it to spin, roll over, and land on its side.

At the time, the bus carried two adult passengers and one student.

Emergency medical personnel assessed all three at the scene; the student was transported to the hospital by ambulance, while family members took the adults to the hospital.

All were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and later released.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was airlifted by STARS Air Ambulance and is reported to be in stable condition.

The PRSD commended their driver for the calm and professional response during the incident and emphasized the importance of road safety, especially with the school year ending on June 26.
