Ice Advisories have been issued, and are continuing around the town of Peace River.
On the River, an advisory is in place, as the ice front was expected during the weekend.
The front shifted, and is expected to recede past the town in advance of the breakup on the Smoky River.
Meanwhile, the advisory continues for the Heart River, even though water levels have stabilized and have decreased because of the weekend’s cooler temperatures.
However, both tributaries, and rivers around the region continue to be monitored, as ice break-up is expected this week.
