According to a post on High Prairie’s Town Council page on behalf of Mayor, Brian Panasiuk, he was told that shots were fired at a traffic stop around 2:00 this morning.

The post goes onto say that the three suspects fled to JC Park, stole quads, then headed north in the direction of Jack Pines, and that the RCMP are bringing in more reinforcements.

In a media release, all the High Prairie detachment confirmed was that there was an active police event going on, and that people should stay home, and avoid JC Park and the Elks Rodeo Grounds.
