Two movies starring big names hit streaming services today in Slumberland and Spirited. One is a family film while the other is a Christmas Musical meant for a slightly older family in teens. The big names of Jason Momoa and Ryan Reynolds teaming with Will Ferrell will likely entice you to watch.
Slumberland which stars stars Jason Momoa debuts on Netflix today. Slumberland is about, a young girl who discovers a secret map to the dreamworld of Slumberland, and with the help of an eccentric outlaw (Momoa), she traverses dreams and flees nightmares, with the hope that she will be able to see her late father again.
Next we have Spirited seeing Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell team up for a Christmas musical for Apple TV+ debuting today. Spirited is a new take on the Christmas classic “A Christmas Carol” adding the musical element should be interesting to watch. “Each Christmas Eve, the Ghost of Christmas Present selects one dark soul to be reformed by a visit from three spirits. But this season, he picked the wrong Scrooge. Clint Briggs (Reynolds) turns the tables on his ghostly host (Ferrell) until Present finds himself reexamining his own past, present and future. For the first time, “A Christmas Carol” is told from the perspective of the ghosts in this musical twist on the classic Dickens tale.”
