Suspect in High Prairie & Valleyview Armed Robberies Remains At Large

RCMP is continuing their efforts to locate a suspect in a pair of armed robberies in High Prairie and Valleyview.

21-year-old Daniel Tanner Bigcharles of High Prairie is wanted on charges of Robbery with a Firearm, Disguise with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence, Using a Firearm in the Commission of Offence, Weapons Possession contrary to an order, two counts of Failing to Comply with Conditions of Recognizance, and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

Police ask the public not to approach Bigcharles, and to instead call police immediately.

As well, another two suspects were taken into custody on June 22, 2017 for the pair of robberies taking place on June 11 at two different convenience stores.

26-year-old Raymond Donald Mitchell of Grande Prairie and 25-year-old Tamara Anne Baytha of Yellowknife both face Criminal Code Charges of Armed Robbery with a Firearm, as well as Aiding and Abetting. Mitchell also faces charges of Unlawful Possession of an Explosive Device.

Both appeared in court on June 26, where Mitchell was remanded into custody until his next court appearance. Baytha was released on a $3,000 no-cash Recognizance. Both appear in court again on Monday, July 10, 2017.
