- The Fairview Curling Club will send a delegation to the Town Council Meeting tonight (Tracy Watchorn, Clint Wild, & Sheryl Beigel).
Roof construction funding for the club continues to be a priority, as curling was shut down until the building could be repaired. - The Town of Peace River is holding an “Active Transportation Plan” Community Engagement Session at the Baytex tomorrow from 4-8.
It’s phase two of the process of connecting the entire town, to improve access to all areas of the community. - A Crime Prevention Symposium is happening tonight in Valleyview, 7pm at the Memorial Hall.
The 18+ event is free and features coffee & donuts, and Guest speakers that include the Valleyview RCMP, the MD of Greenview, and the town of Valleyview. - The Alberta Government is ensuring that Food Banks in the province continue to receive funds.
To help increase food security they’re once again providing $10 million to food banks & community organizations across the province. - Alberta Premier Danielle Smith joined together with leaders from across the country to call for Ottawa’s carbon pricing measures to be more fair.
