– Peace Regional RCMP have laid charges from an incident on Sunday where a vehicle and trailer were stolen on 74 Street. Officers say the vehicle was left unattended to warm up and are urging community members not to leave their vehicles unattended while running.

– The Peace Regional Women’s Shelter has suffered a setback in their maintenance project. Officials say that a “Black Mold” issue has surfaced on the second flor of the shelter.
– Police in Slave Lake are investigating what they call a non-suspicious death. Yesterday a deceased 61-year-old male in what police described as a self-made shelter that had fire damage inside.
– English Wikipedia raked in more than 84-billion views this year. That’s according to numbers collected by the Wikimedia Foundation, the non-profit behind the free, publicly edited online encyclopedia.
– Heritage Minister Pascale St-Onge says the C-R-T-C should look at regulating Meta when the Online News Act takes effect on the 19th of this month. Meta has been blocking news on Facebook and Instagram since Parliament passed the law this summer, but some Canadian users have found ways to get around it.
– Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland is responding to a Statistics Canada report that suggests the problem of sexual misconduct in the military is getting worse. She wants all Canadian women in uniform to know that the government recognizes their pain and fear and that it is committed to supporting them.
– Eight games are taking place tonight in the NHL, including Calgary at home against Minnesota and Vancouver facing New Jersey.
– The International Ice Hockey Federation is making neck guards mandatory for all levels of competition in its tournaments. The move comes after a player in England was killed when his neck was cut by a skate blade during a game in late October.
