  1. Water shut off in Nampa, due to Water Leak.
    No timeframe as to when it will be turned on
  2. The 10-acre site of the old High Prairie Hospital, has been sold for $1.75 Million dollars.
    Though the buyer was not disclosed, town council did have first opportunity to buy the land for $148,000, but they turned that offer down.
  3. Two people from Grande Prairie are under arrest following a months-long investigation into crimes at oil and gas sites in the area.
    The two were taken in earlier this month, and face the judge in the next couple of weeks.
  4. National Non-Smoking Week is this week, with displays popping up at places like Hospitals and Pharmacies around the Northwest.

  5. Police in London, Ont., are not confirming a report that five members of Canada’s 2018 world junior hockey team have been told to surrender to face charges of sexual assault.
    The incident is alleged to have occurred following a Hockey Canada gala in June, where the players were honoured for their victory at that year’s world junior tournament.
  6. Nampa’s Kayla Skrlik hits the pebbled ice today for Draws 2 & 3 of the Alberta Women’s Curling Championships in St. Paul.
    This morning’s draw has Skrlik against Gracelyn Richards of Edmonton. Skrlik plays Michelle Hartwell of Sherwood Park tonight.
