  1. Boil Water Advisory in effect in Village of Nampa
    This after leak was detected yesterday near East Ridge Rd.
  2. The Greenview Fire-Rescue Service received a $15,000 donation to support the purchase of wildland personnel protection equipment.
    The donation by Keyera Corporation, based in Calgary, is for dedication and commitment to the wildfires in the Northwest area in the Spring and Summer of 2023.
  3. The Provincial Government is providing $9.9 Million dollars to 260 non-profit organizations across Alberta.
    $7,500 is going to the Curling Club in La Glace, $18,000 goes to the Peace River Art Club, and $30,000 goes to the Peace Association for Life Long Learning.
  4. One new park is being created, Kleskun Hills Provincial Park near Bezanson, and the Fort Vermillion Provincial Recreation Area is being designated as public land.
    Forestry and Park Minister Todd Loewen says the changes will “enhance the ability to access and enjoy our province’s outdoor spaces without impacting recreational use.”
  5. The federal government posted a deficit of $19.1 billion for the first eight months of its 2023-24 fiscal year.
    The result for the April-to-November period compared with a deficit of nearly $3.6 billion reported for the same stretch of its 2022-23 fiscal year.
