  1. The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team has concluded that no wrongdoing was conducted during an arrest being made in Sucker Creek in December of 2021.
    The report stems from an incident occurring where Lakeshore Police and the suspect being arrested were in a struggle, with the suspect sustaining injuries.
  2. A lot of eyes and ears will be on the Legislature this afternoon as the provincial budget is presented this afternoon.
    Finance Minister Nate Horner is said to be delivering a responsible budget, and suggests the government is making the saving of oil and gas revenues a priority.
  3. Misery Mountain Ski Resort in Peace River has been open for the past few weeks, for skiers and snowboarders.
    Chris Johnson, the Board President of Misery Mountain, is very happy that the youth have taken in this year, and will possibly appear for Convention Break next week.
  4. Some energy companies are still failing to pay millions of dollars in taxes, says a survey released this week by the Rural Municipalities of Alberta.
    The association found oil and gas companies owe the communities in which they operate nearly $252 million in all.

  11. Five former members of Canada’s world junior hockey team who are charged with sexual assault in a 2018 incident in London, Ont., have chosen to be tried by a jury.
    Dillon Dube, Carter Hart, Michael McLeod, Cal Foote and Alex Formenton were charged with sexual assault last month.
  12. The snow will end this afternoon and skies will clear off heading into this weekend.
