The warm weather has not helped with firefighting efforts, as many small fires have ignited in the area. - The prairie provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are working to have more trade corridors in the north.
The planned extension of Highway 686 is part of that and Transportation Minister Devin Dreeshen says that new road could bring other benefits as well. Highs this afternoon will be in the low 30’s, with lows in the mid teens tonight. The sunshine sticks around into the weekend, but highs will only be in the mid 20’s.
