- High Level RCMP have laid charges from a shooting that happened back in June.
Two people from John D’or Prairie, one from High Level and another from Fort Vermilion are facing numerous charges. - Provincially, the harvest is 85% complete, as of the first of the month, which is still way ahead of averages.
In the Northwest, about three-quarters of the crop is in the bin. Specifically, Spring Wheat is at 86%, Barley is at 83%, Oats are at 75%, and canola is at 62%, while Dry peas are completely finished. - The Provincial Government is providing Local Government Fiscal Framework funding to municipalities for the 2026 fiscal year.
Over $820 million dollars is being received by jurisdictions in the province, including 15 towns, 10 Counties and MD’s and 4 Metis Settlements in the Northwest. - A new Restorative Circle Space has been adopted, and is now operational at Peace River High School.
The building will serve as an outdoor classroom, space for inclusive activities, and for a possible Restorative Justice space at the school. (John White interview on App) - Hundreds of thousands of vehicles are being recalled in Canada due to a steering-related issue that could increase a driver’s risk of crash.
Approximately 239,000 newer-model Honda and Acura vehicles have voluntarily been recalled by the makers over a defective part in the steering gear box. - NWJHL tonight… Beaverlodge is in Fairview.
