MODUS Structures, based in Crossfield, gave $50,000 to the school, as part of the School’s Grand Opening this week. - The Peace River School Division has published their Anti-Racism policy. Numerous initiatives are underway, as part of the strategy.
The reviewing of Administrative procedures and policies are being implemented to align with cultural and racial inclusivity principles. - The Alberta government has created six new areas where cougar hunting is allowed.
Forestry and Parks Minister Todd Loewen says they estimate Alberta’s cougar population has reached about 2,000, while an ideal population is 1,500. - Alberta’s education ministry says it is expanding education screening for young students.
The province introduced twice-a-year screening for literacy and numeracy for Grade 1-3 students this fall, and recently introduced similar tools for K-5. - Honda Canada will recall approx. 12,000 vehicles in Canada for a free inspection and, if necessary, the repair of the fuel pipe that may have been improperly assembled.
