    The goal of this is to enhance innovation and entrepreneurship across the country.
  3. Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation is raising concerns about an AI project proposed to be built on their territory.
    Chief Sheldon Sunshine expressed his disappointment with the lack of consultation.
    Wonder Valley has an estimated initial cost of $2.8 billion dollars, but could see total investments reach over $70 billion over its lifetime.

    The new program is intended to help high-risk and repeat offenders be electronically supervised, as part of their bail conditions.

  6. The first carbon rebate of 2025 is being paid out this week, even as the future of the program itself remains uncertain.
    The rebate will pay out anywhere from $190 in New Brunswick to $450 in Alberta, with people in small and rural communities receiving a 20% top-up.

  10. The Baseball world is mourning the loss of a well-known broadcaster and actor. Bob Uecker was the main play-by-play man for the Milwaukee Brewers for 54 years.
    Bob Uecker was diagnosed with small-cell lung cancer in 2023, and passed away earlier this morning. He was 90 years of age.
  11. 10-15 cm of snow is expected up north with the temperature forecasted to keep going down, starting tonight.
    The Peace and Big Lakes will get 2-4 cm of snow, but they are also getting winds, at times gusting to 90 towards the middle of the day today.
    Digits will also be going down, starting tonight.
