- The High Prairie School Division is piloting the Extended Stop Arm on one of the busses in the fleet.
The Arm extends out by 6 1/2 feet, to discontinue and discourage fly-bys when lights are flashing. (Sheldon Bossert Interview in separate story) - The Provincial Government says more than 800 peace officers from 34 communities will work with local police to combat social disorder stemming from the use of illicit drugs.

Wednesday March 12th at both the Jr/Sr. High School and EE Oliver Elementary school in Fairview, and on Thursday March 13th at central Operations in Grimshaw. - Big Lakes County is partnering with The Enabling Housing Choice North Project Team to address housing issues.
The partnership is to work with stakeholders to create housing options, while promoting sustainable growth and housing diversity, within the jurisdiction over the coming months. - The Alberta Teachers’ Association released the funding number it hopes to see in this afternoon’s provincial budget and said anything less is something Albertans “can’t afford.”
