- Authorities are looking for 49 year-old Jennifer Helen Emard. She’s wanted for activities in McLennan and Falher.
RCMP is saying to not approach, just contact 9-1-1. - Finance Minister Nate Horner introduced a budget that projects a $5.2-billion deficit this fiscal year on total spending of $79 billion.
That represents an $11-billion swing from the current budget, which wraps up at the end of March and is on track to register a surplus close to $6 billion. - Sentancing for a High Prairie man found guilty in the case of the Grouard Church fire, has been delayed.
But no reason was given as to why the delay for Gerald Capot, was given.
He and Kenneth Ferguson were both charged in the fire that heavily damaged the St. Bernard Mission Church in May of 2023. - The Driftpile Cree Nation and the Federal Indigenous Services Ministry, have signed an agreement, allowing self-governance over it’s children, youth and families.
The Federal Ministry will provide $16.4 million dollars for the next four years, plus adjustments based on inflation and population growth. - The town of High Level has launched a new plat form for residents to learn about and provide input on projects in the community.

- The Town of High Level is bidding for the Kraft Hockeyville contest. More information is on the town’s FB Page.
- Minor Hockey in the Peace Region start provincial playdowns this weekend. Provincial tournaments happen at the end of March, and the beginning of April.
- NWJHL playoffs this weekend… Tonight, Game 3 – La Crete is in Beaverlodge with the series tied at 1. Game 4 & 5 is tomorrow and Sunday, also in Beaverlodge.
Also tonight, Game 3 – FSJ is in Dawson Creek, with the Huskies up 2-0. Game 4 is Sunday in Dawson Creek. - NPHL playoffs this weekend… Tonight, Game 3 – Spirit River is in Manning with the Comets up 2-0. Game 4 is Sunday.
Also on Sunday, Game 5 – Falher is in Dawson Creek, with the Pirates up 3-1. - AEHL this weekend… The U-13’s play tonight in GP, and Sunday in Whitecourt. The U-15’s play two in GP. The U-18’s play two in Edmonton.
