- US Tariffs are expected to be implemented on goods from Canada and Mexico, starting today.
President Donald Trump says that 25% across-the-board tariffs on imports, plus a 10% levy on Canadian energy, will be in effect.
Ottawa has already planned for counter-tariffs on US products initially, with higher fees scheduled for later this month. - A reforestation company, based in Quesnel BC, has been found not guilty of a fatal workplace accident in the Mackenzie region.
The verdict stems from an incident in July of 2020, where a tree planter was struck and fatally injured by a falling tree. - Just a few days after Lesser Slave Lake MLA Scott Sinclair voiced his concerns with the tabled Provincial Budget, some elected officials are beginning to join in.
Big Lakes County Reeve Tyler Airth has sent a letter to Premier Danielle Smith, expressing support for Sinclair.
In the meantime, even the Provincial NDP is echoing two UCP MLA’s, including Sinclair, about the Budget, that faces a $5.2 Billion Dollar deficit this year. - Property Assessments are currently being conducted in the town of High Level.
