- High Level RCMP were dealing with a firearms complaint last night in town. A shelter-in-place was in effect for about an hour, while the incident was in progress.
More details are coming, as police say a person was taken into custody. - A High Level Police officer has been cleared of any wrong-doing in an investgation from an incident in May of 2022.
The incident happened at the Flamingo Inn in town, where three intoxicated men were causing problems at the business, and were no longer welcome there.
The officer, who knew them as they were released from custody earlier that morning, and given their state of actions and intoxication, arrested the suspects. - Alberta Premier Danielle Smith has removed Lesser Slave Lake MLA Scott Sinclair from caucus, in light of Sinclair being against the tabled Budget.
Sinclair has voiced his concerns, saying that money is earmarked for projects in the big cities, and not in rural, specifically Northern Alberta. - St. Thomas More School in Fairview is part of an $8.6 Billion dollar commitment from the Provincial Government to have new schools built in Alberta.
Right now, students and staff are housed in modular classrooms for K-9, and at Northwestern Polytechnic for 10-12. (Kelly Whelan Interview in separate story) - Many food banks in the Peace and Mackenzie region are struggling to keep the shelves stocked.
However if the Provincial Budget is passed, the Government is forwarding $5 million dollars to Foodbanks and Community Organizations. - An Open House on the new Peace River Nuclear Power Project is slated for tomorrow afternoon, from 4-8 at Weberville Hall.

Open Tryouts have been booked for March 22nd at the Nampa Complex for potential interested players. - Four games are happening in the NHL tonight. Edmonton is in Buffalo, Toronto is in Utah, Detroit is in Ottawa, and Chicago is in Colorado.
- Snow and cooler temperatures are in the forecast in the Northwest during this week. Digits will hover around the -10 degree-mark for a high, and -15 for a low.
