- Hundreds of people turned out for Energy Alberta’s Open House at Weberville Hall regarding the proposed Nuclear Power plant project.
The event offered insight into the project, while residents gained knowledge and made inquiries. (Interviews in separate story) - A reported outbreak of the Measles has surfaced in John D’Or Prairie.
While the full extent of the outbreak is not known, the Chief of the Little Red River Cree Nation says three people in the same family have caught it, with two hospitalized. - Business show season is underway in the Peace and Mackenzie. One show has rebranded, and is accepting registrations until the end of this week.
The Manning Regional Expo, formally the Manning Regional Trade Show, is happening mid-April at the Jack McAvoy Arena. (Trinidy Schmidt interview in separate story) - Provincial government spending in the North has become a hot topic in the Alberta Legislature.
After Lesser Slave Lake MLA Scott Sinclair was removed from caucus over his budget concerns, NDP MLA Jodi Calahoo Stonehouse brought up the subject in question period this week. - Reactions are continuing to come in on the provincial government’s budget.

- Snow is in the forecast for the Peace and Big Lakes, starting this afternoon, and lasting until well into the day tomorrow.
- The Peace could get 10 cm, while the Big Lakes could get 15-20 cm. Snowfall warnings are in effect for Grande Prairie and Valleyview, and more warnings could be on the way.
