Conditions are very unstable right now, causing dangerous circumstances with the Ice Front currently moving through town. - The future of Dixonville School is being discussed with the public.
The Peace River School Division has set up a public meeting tonight, 6:30 at the School to present information and receive feedback. - $6.9 Million Dollars in provincial funding is coming to The Lakeshore Regional Police Department in Driftpile.
Public Safety Minister Mike Ellis made the announcement, saying the desire to improve public safety through new approaches to local policing, is needed through building expansion. - Spring Clean-up is right around the corner and communities are getting prepared.
Many events are on the horizon including Community Garage Sales, and the Spring Clean-up at the recycling compounds. - Canadians will receive the last carbon rebate later this month as the federal consumer carbon price came to an end this week.

The Peace River Curling club is represented by Charlene Swicheniuk and they play their first draw tonight against Airdrie. - The NWJHL has the Fort St. John Huskies representing the league at the Junior B Hockey Provincials in Morinville that get underway today.
The Huskies won the provincial title three years ago, joining the 2012 Whitecourt Wolverines and the 2016 North Peace Navigators as the only NWJHL teams to win the gold medal at provincials. - Five games in the NHL tonight.
Vancouver faces Seattle, Toronto is up against Florida, Washington is in Carolina, Colorado visits Chicago and Minnesota faces the New York Rangers. - And some afternoon baseball for the Toronto Blue Jays today. They’re in action just after 1PM, looking to sweep their series with the Washington Nationals.
Easton Lucas starts for the Jays against Mackenzie Gore. - Skies will be quite bright for the remainder of this week in Northwest. Temps will remain cool until the end of the week, with digits start rising.
The Northwest will see two numbers by Saturday, and possibly into the 20’s in the Peace by Monday.
