  • One of two vacant council seats filled for Nomination Day in Berwyn.
    Two seats were made available due to the resignation of John Bak, and the passing of Duane Sawan.
  • Peace Regional Mental Health & Addictions Task Force has been approved.
    It was created to support rural communities in identifying priorities around mental health and addiction, and to create action plans to promote mental health
  • $294,000 for the Main Street Concrete Repair Project has been approved in Peace River.
    The project includes replacement of brick, or failed concrete sidewalk, street tree replacement, storm catch basin repairs and para ramp repairs.
  • The Holy Family Catholic Regional Division have installed Air quality monitoring devices to detect vaping in schools.
    The units will silently let staff know that there’s been a change to the particles in the air.
  • Around 80 fires continue to burn in the province, most of which are Under Control.
    Evacuees from the NWT are continuing to be housed in the region.
