The North Peace Navigators won their home game against the Dawson Creek Junior Canucks 6-2 on Friday. The Junior Canucks started their game strong, but just weren’t able to hold on, as the Navs went on to score 5 unanswered.
The Junior Canucks were missing last year’s big scorer Wesley Shipton, which showed on the scoreboard, as they only had 3 shots in the second period. The Navs’ assistant coach, Jody Menssa, is expecting a different game tomorrow night when they visit the Canucks.
Menssa said it was a night of good goal tending from the Navs’ Ryan Noble. #22, Theo Cunnigham scored two goals, one in the first and one in the third period and Captain Calvin Sanders, assisted on four goals.
The puck will drop at 8 when the Navigators visit the Junior Canucks at the Dawson Creek & District Memorial Arena.
