Jarret Michael Ducharme was sentenced to 450 days time served after pleading guilty to multiple charges in Peace River court.

He admitted to two counts of possession of property obtained by crime in one case, and additional charges of possession of property obtained by crime, theft under $5,000, theft of a motor vehicle, and forging a document in another.

An assault charge in a third case was withdrawn.

In September 2023, Manning RCMP received a report of an attempted vehicle and fuel theft, with Ducharme linked to thefts in High Level, Fort Vermilion, and Peace River.

Police attempted to stop a vehicle, which fled, but they identified Ducharme from surveillance footage.

He was subsequently located and arrested in October in Keg River.
