The PEACE Foundation will be opening its office and drop in centre, at least on a temporary basis. The Town of Peace River says on its website it is allowing the P.E.A.C.E. Foundation to open its office and drop-in centre downtown. The Foundation held an open-house on October 17th to hear from residents in the area on whether they were in support, or opposed to the drop-in centre. Click here for the back story.
Among the conditions of the temporary permit, which is set to expire on May 30th of 2020, is the centre can be open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. but no beds are allowed on the site. A full list of permit conditions can be found here.
