Internet is about to get faster in Valleyview.
Fiber Optic is arriving at the Portal to the Peace. Installation is set to be complete sometime this summer.
And great news for Taxpayers! The cost of bringing fiber optic to the town will be 100% fronted by the company.
Internet has been relied on heavily throughout the pandemic, with many working from home, and students being forced into online learning. For a lot of rural communities, internet speed has been an issue.
Throw in online video gaming, streaming TV and Movie platforms, and just general internet surfing, and an upgrade like this will go a long way for a community like Valleyview.
Better internet with modern speeds has been a goal of the Valleyview Town Council & Chamber for years. It’s part of their Economic Development Strategy. When this opportunity arose, the chamber gathered signatures from businesses showing their support.
The rest will soon be history.
